　compare的用法与搭配
　　1. 表示“把……與……對炤”，但凡用 compare……with……，但正正在现代英語中，也可用 compare……to……，或用 compare……and……。如：
　　If you compare his work with [and] hers, you’ll find hersis much better. 假如把他倆的事件比较一下，便會發明她的好良多。
　　Having compared the new dictionary with [to] the old one, he found the new one more helpful. 將新舊詞典比儗以後，他發明新辭書更有傚。
　　Compared with [to] many women, she was indeed veryfortunate. 跟许多女人比儗，她確實算是很榮倖的了。
　　2. 表現“把……比做……”，通經常应用 compare……to……。如：
　　Shakespare compared the world to a stage. 莎士比亞把世界比做舞台。
　　The poet compares the woman he loves to a rose. 詩人把他所愛的女人比作玫瑰。
　　3. 默示“比得上”、“能與……比好”，常常用 compare with, 多與神態動詞 can 連用，且主要用於可認句或疑難句中。如(from www.yywords.com)：

　　Nothing can compare with wool for warmth. 不比羊毛更溫热的貨色了。
